1.
Your child will start with an assessment when enrolled in our center. After the skills assessment, goals will be generated and a report will be written to review with parents/ caregivers. We will determine a set number of hours recommended group therapy, as well as days attending.
2.
Parents will discuss goals in the classroom as well as HOME goals, to be worked on by the parent/ caregiver. These goals are to ensure skills developed in our program are generalized into the home setting, and not just a school setting. There are many things the BCBA and parent can work on (toilet training, eating habit, behaviors etc). These goals are individualized for your child.
3.
Your BCBA will supervise the child in the classroom setting, ensuring are trained teachers are implementing goals in the classroom. Goals are worked on daily until mastery, and new goals are generated to continue developing your child's skill set.
4.
As your child begins to develope more skills, require less supports, and generalize these skills into the home setting, they will begin to transition into our general classroom with fewer supports.
5.
It is important to note that Family Guidance is an INTEGRAL part of our services and a commitment. It is NOT optional, as our goal is to ensure progress for our children in ALL settings. Parent meetings are held on a need-to basis to discuss progress frequently, and establish changes in programming when needed.
